Course Description
Join us for a visit to the U Maine JF Witter Research and Training Center. The Center is home to teaching and research programs in animal sciences and sustainable agriculture with special focus on dairy and equine science.
We will visit the calf barn, the livestock barn, the robotic milking facility, and the horse area. The tour involves walking outside, including walking on a dirt road and grass for a few hundred feet. It is accessible in a powered wheelchair.
Bring your lunch for an optional picnic after the visit.
